Community Sadhana Practices

A Sadhana is a profound form of tantric practice which includes meditation, visualization, recitation of verses and mantras. Central to Tibetan Buddhism, a Sadhana is usually only performed by practitioners who have received the appropriate transmission, however there are two opportunities each month when everyone is welcome to take part.

The Sadhana of Mahamudra – every new moon
This Sadhana was received by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche from the mindstream of the great Padmasambhava who was instrumental in establishing Buddhism in Tibet. The practice consists of meditation and chants, and lasts about an hour.

This practice is open to everyone.

A donation will be suggested.

The Shambhala Sadhana – every full moon.
The Shambhala Sadhana is a simple and potent practice written by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche to deepen our connection to basic goodness. It reveals how we can find our tender, perceptive and powerful heart under the usual cover of doubt and panic.

This practice is open to members and may include a celebratory meal

A donation will be suggested.

The Werma Sadhana – occasional group practice.
The Werma Sadhana is a profound key to understanding and manifesting awake society in our lives. By practising intensively, we can unlock the power to discover brilliant awareness on the spot, whatever our circumstance.

Werma Sadhana practice is open only to those who have received the transmission.

A donation will be suggested.
