Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche developed a set of practices and teachings for people interested in creating an environment at our centres that supports our wakefulness. The Dorje Kasung path is a challenging practice that develops our awareness.
It is modelled on the ancient tradition of dharma protectors. Dorje Kasung members are trained in protecting the space in which practitioners are able to hear and practice the teachings.
The Dorje Kasung provide an awake and uplifted presence at teaching events, and work with issues of difficulty or conflict that may arise in our community.
The practice of Dorje Kasungship is founded on the Mahayana Buddhist principle of compassionate action, and is inspired by the Vajrayana Buddhist view that working directly with the energy of neurosis can transform it into wisdom. Their motto is ‘Victory Over War’.
