Education – Our Work with Schools

shamathaWe offer schools Mindfulness and Meditation (PSHE), and also teach Buddhism (Religious Education). All sessions are delivered by our Centre Director Lee Howson, who is a highly trained secular (non-religious) meditation and mindfulness instructor. Lee is also a qualified Religious Studies teacher and has many years experience as a Subject Leader in Religious Studies. We can visit your school, or host visits at our Centre in Clapham Common. Some recent feedback:

“Thanks for today, was a fantastic experience for me and the class. The mediation was really useful and something we can take into the classroom. Your very calm and patient approach is just what my class needed on a trip”. Samuel, Year 3 Teacher

“After the visit their was a striking contrast – the students were calm and thoughtful – thinking deeply about emptiness and meaning – questioning their presuppositions and wondering how to make sense of this new information. Their next question, “when can Mr Howson visit us again?” Mrs Jones, Head of Religious Studies (Year 8 class)
