As a charity the London Shambhala Meditation Centre relies on, and very much appreciates, the energy, time and skills of generous people to keep the centre open. You can help us run our programmes, keep us financially stable, and join and strengthen our community of practitioners. It’s what we call ‘creating enlightened society’!
There are many ways to get involved.
Take on a leadership role
We are now creating a two-tier approach to leadership and decision making. The centre will be governed by a Leadership Team with the support of an Executive Team. The Leadership Team are responsible for the overall strategic vision and policy of the centre. The Executive Team will interpret and implement this vision by planning and managing the centre’s activity and operations.
We now need people inspired to support our activities by taking on these senior voluntary positions. Our success will depend upon people willing to offer something of their time, skills and energy to develop these areas. Members can access the role descriptions for all leadership roles at the Shambhala Network. Alternatively you can request specific role descriptions from Ariela at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The available Leadership Team positions are:
Director of Finance
The available Executive Team positions are:
Building projects Manager, Way of Shambhala Coordinator.

Become a Member
Without our members, we would not be able to offer the wonderful programmes, practice sessions, and events that we do.
Membership is important because it will help you deepen your practice, you will become part of a strong and supportive community, and by offering a monthly donation you will stabilise the centre’s finances – the ground that supports everything we do.
Donate any amount – as often as you wish
All financial contributions are warmly welcomed. General donations fund our yearly Operating Budget which includes maintaining the building, office expenses, shrine & practice expenses.
