Room: Main meditation hall

This year we are celebrating Shambhala Day over the 16th and 17th of February, you can find details and a schedule of activities on the 16th here

Each year our community gathers to hear our teacher’s address, practice, raise money for Dechen Chöling (the European land centre in France) and to celebrate. Dancing optional.

We also offer oaths to new leaders and shastris, our teachers with responsibility for developing London’s Shambhala path, teaching, and teachers.  This Shambhala Day we will mark Jane Hope’s standing down from the her role as Shastri; Jane has held the role of Shastri for many years. Roles in Shambhala have limited terms and so this office also ends.  Their contribution to the community has been invaluable.  Taking up the role of Shastri will be Tessa Watt and Merlin Cox who will take an oath of office. Other oaths of office will be offered to people who have stepped into new roles this year.
