Yoga Nidra (Mondays)

Weekly yoga Nidra classes are held on Monday nights at the London Shambhala Centre before meditation. Yoga nidra classes explore the state of being ‘wakefully asleep’ as a basis for self inquiry and restoration. The teacher guides you into a conscious yet deep sleep through a set of verbal instructions, where you are able to access and learn from your inner awareness. Yoga nidra can also be beneficial for reducing anxiety and sleeping more soundly.

The class will start with some gentle yoga exercises and stretching followed by yoga nidra. You will be lying down during the yoga nidra and no prior experience is necessary. Yoga nidra classes are for everybody – older and younger people are welcome!

Start time is 6:20pm. Price for classes: £6 per class (or £20 for 4 classes). Please wear comfortable clothes.

Jules is an experienced yoga teacher and regular meditator. She has trained with James Reves a senior iRest yoga nidra teacher, Max Storm an international yoga teacher and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Tribe International Yoga.

Yoga (Wednesdays)

Yoga is meditation in motion.

Weekly yoga classes are held at the London Shambhala Centre on Wednesday night before meditation. The class emphasises connecting the breath with movement, linking the postures in a dynamic flow.

For the yoga class please wear loose comfortable clothing, and arrive in time for the class to start promptly at 6.15 pm. No yoga experience is necessary. The class is suitable for people in reasonable health – if you have severe health problems please consult your doctor or contact Sharon (the instructor) to discuss whether the class will be appropriate for you. The yoga classes are run on a drop-in basis, costing £10.00 (£7.00 concessions) or £45.00 (£30.00 concs) for a block of five classes.
