Life isn’t always beautiful, pleasurable, or even tolerable. True contentment can never come from ignoring suffering, nor can we always be expected to just “think positively.” Bad things still happen. Pain still happens. Loss still happens. But with gentleness and curiosity, we can uncover our innate confidence and contentment.

In this class, students will learn to acknowledge and work with suffering directly. Meditation techniques will be introduced to help students identify the quality, nature and experience of fearful mind, and learn to meet their suffering with gentleness, nowness and inquisitiveness.
